Our custodial teams are hard at work making sure our buildings are clean and sanitized each and every day!
They have started the process of disinfecting through the use of misters and the appropriate disinfectant. Disinfecting destroys almost all infectious germs on a surface, including viruses. This process is done once students and staff are out of the building and no one can enter the classroom or office for at least 30 minutes after its application.
This disinfection process is ran at all schools one time per week. If a school is experiencing an outbreak, the process will be performed on a daily basis. The nurse station will be done on a daily basis. Moreover, if a hot spot (classroom or office with students or staff are sick) is identified, that particular area will be targeted.
Big thanks to our amazing custodians for helping to keep our campuses and facilities as safe and clean as possible! #CustodialServices #theClevelandISDway

Partnerships Matter!
Superintendent McCanless met with Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce members, Kari Duggar, Brian Garcia and Victoria Good today to discuss the strong partnership and 100% support between CISD and the Chamber. Superintendent McCanless looks forward to this positive partnership and the great community work to come!

CISD Families - Please be aware that tomorrow, Tuesday, August 13th, 2024, at approximately 4:15pm we will be running a DRILL for a heat emergency with our football teams and coaches.
During this drill, we will have a student athlete simulate going through the stages of heat illness ending in exertional heat stroke, and will collapse on the field during practice. We will have the athletic training staff, along with the coaches on the Heat Emergency Team, go through the steps of removing the athletes equipment, placing them on a stretcher and moving them to our rapid cooling station where they will be submerged in an ice bath.
The district would like to make the community aware to stress that this is simply a drill to practice the procedure for a heat emergency. As always, safety is our number one concern.
