The Cleveland High School Royal Brave Band has done it again!
For the second consecutive year, the RBB has earned the title of UIL State Military Marching Band Champion, bringing another state championship home to Cleveland!
Winning at the state level once is an incredible accomplishment. Returning the following year as defending champions, carrying the expectations that come with that title, and winning again is something truly special.
Our students rose to the challenge.
Under the leadership of Band Director Mr. Shaka Hawkins, the Royal Brave Band demonstrated the precision, musicianship, discipline and determination necessary to compete at the highest level. Behind every step on the field were countless hours of rehearsals, early mornings, long days and a commitment from students and staff to pursue excellence.
This championship means even more because of the community these students represent.
The RBB stepped onto the state stage carrying the name Cleveland with them. They proved that the size of a community does not determine the size of its accomplishments. Our students competed among the best in Texas and, for the second year in a row, came home as STATE CHAMPIONS.
This victory belongs to our students who put in the work, our directors who challenged them to reach higher, our families who supported them along the way and the Cleveland community that continues to stand behind the Royal Brave Band.
Winning a championship establishes a standard.
Winning it again builds a legacy.
