Southside Elementary staff cheer loudly at Convocation 2024

In yet another thrilling Convocation event, Cleveland ISD welcomed over 2,000 staff members into the 2024-2025 school year with fun, dancing, music, prize giveaways, and an overwhelming amount of Cleveland Pride.

Split into two separate sessions in order to accommodate the growing state of the district, Convocation 2024 saw an abundance of spirit bouncing off the walls of the CHS gym. Each campus and department in attendance brought their all to ensure they were spreading their excitement for the 24-25 school year loud and proud!

Special guest speaker, Patrick Perez, shared a touching message about resiliency as he tied in his expertise in the world of breakdancing and hip-hop culture. He even got a handful of volunteers - district leadership included - to get on the floor and bust a move!

Cleveland ISD looks to begin yet another successful school year with over 12,300 students. Let's make it a good year, Indians and Jags! #theClevelandISDway
